🚀 Who we are & What we believe?

We believe the internet is the great equalizer and enabler. It provides essentially unlimited access to knowledge, education, entertainment, services and commerce. And it’s an incredible tool to publish, create, share and communicate.

We think everyone deserves first-rate internet, and we have gone about creating an internet service that we ourselves want to use.

We believe in the power of curiosity, creativity and imagination. We use technology to realize our creations, to simplify and to enable. In addition, we add in hard work, sheer sweat and will power where that is not quite enough. If the idea is right, “that can’t be done”, or “that’s not how things are done” will not stop us.

Offering the best customer experience is dear to our hearts. Our industry is not very good at this, and we have lots of room to improve. We want to be the best and are looking for a leader that shares our passion.

If that’s you, we’d love to meet and get to know you. Let’s talk about how we can work together to make it happen!

🎯Key Responsibilities

  • Architect & Orchestrate: Manage and scale high-availability VMware environments across multi-site clusters, ensuring optimal performance and resilience.
  • Automate Everything: Transition our manual workflows into automated pipelines using Ansible, Python, and PowerCLI.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Treat infrastructure like software. You will manage and version-control our environment using Git and Terraform/OpenTofu workflows.
  • Deep-Dive Troubleshooting: Act as the final line of defense for complex infrastructure issues. You’ll use your deep Linux knowledge and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Storage & Performance: Design and manage SAN architecture (specifically Hitachi Storage) and Block Storage solutions. You will be responsible for performance tuning, understanding NUMA boundaries, SCSI controllers, and cache disk optimizations.
  • Modern Workload Support: Bridging the gap between VMs and Containers. You will support and optimize infrastructure for Kubernetes deployments (e.g., Tanzu, Rancher, or Vanilla K8s).
  • Capacity Engineering: Don't just watch the gauges—predict the future. You will handle capacity planning, create kitlists for new deployments, and lead the technical side of the procurement process.
  • Data Protection & DR: Own the backup and replication strategy using Veeam and site replication technologies to ensure zero-data-loss targets across multisite clusters.
  • Next-Gen Exploration: While VMware is our current core, we are explorers. You will help us evaluate and potentially integrate OpenStack, Proxmox, or KVM into our ecosystem.

💻 What You’ll Do

  • Virtualization Pro: Extensive experience with VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi, Multi-site clusters).
  • Automation Specialist: Hands-on experience with Ansible and Python for infrastructure automation. Proficiency in PowerCLI is a must.
  • IaC & Version Control: Proficiency with Terraform and Git (GitLab/GitHub) to manage infrastructure lifecycle.
  • Storage & Hardware: Solid understanding of Hitachi Storage, SAN fabric, and IPMI/OOB management systems.
  • The DevOps Toolbelt: Familiarity with modern monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and an understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • OS Mastery: Strong Linux administration skills (kernel tuning, system internals, and performance optimization).
  • Cloud-Native Awareness: Experience with container runtimes and orchestrators (Docker, Kubernetes) and how they interact with underlying hypervisors.
  • Advanced Networking: Knowledge of NUMA architecture, hardware-level performance tuning, and multisite replication logic.
  • Open Source Mindset: Experience with or a strong desire to learn OpenStack, Proxmox, or KVM.
